Solutions

Benefits

To effectively measure site traffic, Springfield Farm Quarry has implemented the R-Com IoT VT vehicle counting system. This advanced solution consists of two 10-meter tall poles strategically positioned—one directed at the site entrance and the other at the weigh bridge—connected to our counting units. The system categorises vehicle counts to specifically identify HGV movements, with data available in real time. Automated reports are generated effortlessly, and all historical data is accessible through our Cloud-Based Platform. As a result, Springfield Farm Quarry has achieved complete automation of its counting processes and significantly enhanced reporting accuracy by focusing solely on the necessary HGV activity.

Testimonial

“In order to fulfil our reporting requirements we had to look at ways to automate and improve the accuracy in the way we were reporting vehicle movements in and out of our location, in particular identifying the true numbers of HGV’s accessing the quarry and its various facilities. We engaged the market and through thorough analysis decided to work exclusively with R-Com Technical due to their understanding of our requirements, the flexibility of their solutions and the ability to design and deploy a tailor made robust system into our environment.

Our monitoring, classification of vehicles and reporting is now 100% automated and highly accurate.

Engaging with R-Com and their associated technical resource was a great experience, the solution has delivered all our reporting obligations.”
